A Bit About James

James Mazzocchi is a film and media composer specialising in cinematic, hybrid scoring that blends orchestral writing with modern electronic textures. Currently completing his degree at Leeds Conservatoire, his work focuses on enhancing narrative through music, with a particular interest in science fiction and drama.

James’ compositions are driven by storytelling, combining thematic development with sound design to create immersive and emotionally resonant scores. His approach draws on both traditional film scoring techniques and contemporary production methods, allowing him to move fluidly between acoustic and digital worlds.

Alongside his compositional work, James is actively involved in student representation at Leeds Conservatoire, where he works closely with staff and peers to improve the academic experience. He is also the founder of Mazzocchi Music Ltd, through which he delivers professional music services across film, media, and commercial projects.

As part of Final Cue, James brings a strong narrative focus and a commitment to collaborative creativity, contributing to a collective vision of delivering high-quality, story-driven music for visual media.
